It will connect manufacturers with retailers in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana.

With an aim to connect retailers of AP and Telangana and manufacturers in textile industry across India under a single platform, city based startup Texfy is launching its B2B (Business-to-Business) e-commerce marketplace from July.

Founded by Raghunath Penumarthi, Akhil Teja Dandamudi and Srinivas Reddy Yarragudi, the startup is being mentored under NASSCOM’s 10k startup programme at its warehouse set up at Sunrise Incubation Hub, Rushikonda.
New Parking Terminal Inaugurated Posted on 16-Jun-2017
It will ease congestion and ensure faster evacuation of cargo. Visakhapatnam Port Trust Chairman M.T. Krishna Babu on Thursday inaugurated a truck parking terminal near Y Junction. The parking terminal developed in an area of 10 acres will provide the trucks engaged by the port users timely parking, receipt and dispatch of the cargo to the port and the destination. The port trust has spent 1.6 crore for hard surfacing, compound wall and drainage and connecting road and an additional amount of 60 lakh for ancillary facilities such as drinking water, canteen, dormitory, washrooms and workshops in the terminal.

Visakhapatnam has always been touted to be a hub for startups. But now, it is all set to be a hub for technology startups; keeping in line with the FinTech hub it’s touted to be. The Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society’s goal is to make the ‘one entrepreneur per family’ motto of the state government come true. They’re also set to make Visakhapatnam the hub of technology startups. Chief Executive Officer of APIS, V Valli Kumari stated that they’re looking at young and local talent whose ideas could be turned into successful business models.

Ayyanna Patrudu’s sense of humour was quite evident on Sunday when he was invited to participate in a function organised by Vizag Journalists’ Forum (VJF) at Dr. YVS Murty Auditorium here on Sunday to felicitate outstanding performers in the field of print and electronic media. Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao also participated in the programme. The VJF members made the two Ministers share the same sofa and draped a shawl over their shoulders to felicitate them together. The two Ministers hog the limelight recently when they were reportedly at loggerheads in the wake of a land scam in the district.

OP Service At Sankar Eye Hospital Posted on 20-Jun-2017
Sankar Foundation Eye Hospital at Naiduthota has started a new premium out patient service at its Main Hospital. The new OP wing was inaugurated by managing trustee K Manimala and executive trustee A Vijay Kumar. Ms. Manimala said those opting for premium OPD would indirectly support the services being offered for the poor. A dedicated team of doctors and an optometrist are being nominated to treat these patients in a separate section, according to CEO K. Anand Sudhan.

Special Trains For Car Festival Posted on 21-Jun-2017
East Coast Railway (ECoR) will run special trains to clear the extra rush of passengers during the ensuing Rath Yatra (car festival) of Lord Jagannath at Puri. Train No. 08907 Visakhapatnam-Puri special train will leave Visakhapatnam on June 24 at 1.20 p.m. to reach Puri the next day at 12.15 a.m. (June 24). The train will have 10 general second class coaches and two second class sitting- cum-luggage coaches. Train No. 08908 Puri-Visakhapatnam special train will leave Puri on June 26 at 12.30 a.m and will arrive in Visakhapatnam the same day at 10.55 a.m.

Nooka Sridhar gives a demonstration on the occasion of International Yoga Day. Underwater yoga, a relatively new concept, is fast catching the fancy of children and adults alike, says Nooka Sridhar, a swimming instructor at the Rail Club in Visakhapatnam. He gave a demonstration on the occasion of International Yoga Day at the Rail Club on Wednesday. Barely nine months into the act, Mr. Sridhar has not only perfected the skills but also trained a few children and adults in underwater yoga techniques. Mr. Sridhar, who is also a lifeguard and scuba diving trainer, has been practicing yoga for the last one year.
