On Saturday, which was the last day for registering the opinion, GVMC even organised a mega walk on the beach road as an effort to make more individuals participate in Swachh Survekshan 2018. It has been learned that GVMC commissioner M Hari Narayanan expressed his happiness over the tremendous response garnered from the citizens over the past few weeks. Swachh Bharat was a mission flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi with an aim of promoting cleanliness and hygiene in the country. While Madhya Pradesh’s Indore was hailed as India’s cleanest city in 2017, Vizag emerged as the third cleanest city in Swachh Survekshan 2017.
